The 2.0-liter turbocharged VTEC engine delivers 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed manual with rev-match control keeps you involved in every shift. There is no automatic option.
Front-wheel drive and a helical limited-slip differential put the focus on managing power through the front tires. For 2027, Honda has sharpened rev-match response and revised the front fascia to improve cooling.

Dual-axis front struts, a multi-link rear suspension and adaptive dampers give the Type R its focused foundation. Comfort, Sport, Individual and +R modes let you choose a setup for the drive ahead.
- Brembo front brakes. Four-piston front calipers work with 13.8-inch two-piece front discs; the rear discs measure 12 inches.
- Purposeful tires. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires wrap 19-inch wheels. Their grip comes with winter and wear considerations.
- Refined for 2027. Honda has revised +R damping and brake-pedal feel, along with the front splitter and cooling airflow.
