When Our Lease Specials Say TOTAL Due, We Mean It.

In our lease specials, your first payment, taxes and fees are included in the amount we tell you to bring.

When an Ide lease advertisement says TOTAL due at delivery, we mean the complete upfront amount for that lease offer. The first payment, taxes and fees are included in that total.

This has been our approach to lease advertising for years: show the monthly payment and TOTAL due at delivery together, so you know what to expect before you visit.

The words make a difference

In lease ads, DOWN and TOTAL DUE mean different things.

On a lease offer, a down payment can be one part of what you pay upfront. Total due at delivery tells you the complete upfront amount for that lease. That distinction matters when you’re comparing lease ads.

When a lease ad says

DOWN

It can describe just one part.

A down payment reduces the amount used to calculate the lease payments. Depending on the offer, other amounts may still be due upfront.

When an Ide lease special says

TOTAL DUE

The complete upfront lease amount.

For the stated Ide lease special, any down-payment portion, your first payment, taxes and fees are already included in the advertised total due at delivery.

  • First paymentIncluded
  • Taxes and feesIncluded
Your total upfront amount for that lease special.

Lease offers and payment structures vary. “No money down” can mean no down payment while other amounts are still due. Check the complete written terms for the offer you’re considering.

Compare the whole picture

A fair lease comparison takes more than a monthly payment.

Put the details of each lease offer side by side. Ask us to walk through them with you.

Monthly payment

Compare what you’ll pay each month and what that payment includes.

Payment count

Check the lease length, number of payments and when each is due.

Complete upfront amount

Use the full amount due at delivery. Confirm any trade-in credit or rebate used in the offer.

Mileage allowance

Compare the allowed miles over the same term and the charge for exceeding them.

Eligibility

Check the offer’s credit requirements, qualifications, vehicle availability and expiration.

End-of-lease charges

Review any turn-in fee, excess wear or mileage charges, and early-termination obligations.

Count the first payment once.

If the first payment is included in the amount due at delivery, it’s already counted there. For a scheduled-payment comparison, add the upfront total to the payments that remain. Don’t add that same first payment again. Review other applicable lease charges separately.

Your lease. Your upfront options.

Simple doesn’t mean one-size-fits-all.

Prefer to pay taxes and fees upfront rather than include them in your lease? That’s fine. Prefer to bring less at delivery? That’s fine, too.

Some taxes or fees may be included in the lease balance and paid over time, with applicable lease charges. We’ll show you the breakdown and how bringing more or less upfront changes the monthly payment.

Our advertised lease specials give you a clear starting point. From there, we can compare available structures for the same vehicle, term and mileage.

Available structures depend on the offer, lender requirements and approval. There isn’t one right upfront amount for everyone.

Options, with the upfront amount clear.

You should be able to get excited about a lease payment while knowing what you’ll need to bring. That’s why our lease specials show the monthly payment and TOTAL due at delivery together.

Clear answers

Questions about our lease specials.

Is a lease down payment the same as total due at delivery?

No. A lease down payment can be one component of the upfront amount. Total due at delivery is the complete amount due upfront for the stated lease offer.

Can a “no money down” lease still involve money due at delivery?

Yes. It can refer to no down payment while items such as the first payment, taxes or fees are still due. Check the offer’s complete amount due and written terms.

Does the TOTAL due in Ide’s lease specials include taxes, fees and the first payment?

Yes. Our advertised lease specials include the first payment, taxes and fees in the stated payment structure. TOTAL due at delivery is the complete upfront amount. Depending on the structure, some taxes or fees may be included in the lease balance and paid over time.

Can I choose a different upfront amount on a lease?

You’re welcome to bring more upfront. Tell us if you prefer to pay taxes and fees at delivery instead of including them in your lease balance. We can compare available structures and payments. Options depend on the offer, lender requirements and approval.

Does total due at lease delivery mean there are no future lease obligations?

No. It describes the upfront amount. Remaining monthly payments, insurance, maintenance and any applicable mileage, wear, turn-in or early-termination charges are separate obligations. Review your lease terms. For help as your current lease ends, explore your lease-end choices with Ide.
